This page describes the fields on the Report template page. The fields are listed in alphabetical order.
Basic details tab
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Definition locale | The language for the template. It also affects dates and currency. |
| Factory | A checkmark indicates a report delivered by Sage. Except for the Active template field, this type of report cannot be modified. |
| Name | A unique name that does not contain spaces or special characters. |
| Report | This is the report associated with the template. It filters the type of data available and includes any variables that can be used with the template. |
| Report type | A report can be a printed document or an email. |
Page format block
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Page format | The default paper size when you print the report to PDF or a printer. You can change the default size or override the default size in the Preview panel under Settings. |
| Page orientation | Select Portrait or Landscape. |
| Top/Bottom/Left/ Right margins | Enter individual values for each page margin or accept the default values. |

This tab displays variables or conditions for the report template, if any.
Settings tab
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Page format | Standard paper formats. The selection affects how the template displays and prints. |
| Page orientation | Select Portrait or Landscape. |
| Preview locale | The language for the template including how currencies displays. |
| Top/Bottom/Left/ Right preview margins | Enter individual values for each page margin in the preview. |
| Watermark | Enter a watermark up to 36 alphanumeric characters. |
Formatting panel
| Field | Description |

| Background color | Select a color for a selected cell or cells, or row. |
| Border color | Select a color for a selected cell or cells. |
| Border style | Select the line style for a selected cell or cells. |
| Border width | Select the line thickness for a selected cell or cells. |
| Cell horizontal alignment | Select how data displays in a cell. |
| Cell vertical alignment | Select how data displays in a cell. |
| Edit filters | Opens the wizard to add or edit filters. Does not apply to groups. |
| Edit sorting | Opens the wizard to add or edit sorting. Does not apply to groups. |
| Insert column | Add a column to the table. |
| Precision | This field only displays if your report includes monetary values. Enter the number of places after the decimal point. |

| Source | Displays text in the report template that matches the Target language. |
| Target | Enter new text to replace text in the Source column. |
| Target language | Select a language used in the report template. |
