- From the More actions icon for a work order, you can print the job traveler for the work order, and a pick list for 1 or a range of work orders. Select Print to print the job traveler, or to print pick lists select Pick list.
You can change the layout of both the job traveler and the pick list.
Job traveler
The job traveler is the production specification for the work order in printed format. The document typically "travels" with the job, the production process, as it progresses through the production site.
Shop floor workers can track their time and progress on the job traveler.
The job traveler provides the production team with a method to build or maintain the released item to meet the production specification. The default job traveler prints the work order header information including planned production start and end dates, production operation and resource details, and component information. Any components not linked to an operation print in a separate table. Individual component and production operation instructions are also printed.
You can print the job traveler at all work order statuses: Pending, In progress, Completed, and Closed.
Pick list
A pick list itemizes the components and raw materials to be drawn from stock and issued to the shop floor to make the item for the work order. It informs warehouse or workshop staff which items are to be picked for issue. Information such as the proposed bin location and lot or batch, and suggested quantity from that bin and lot, and the work order the items are to be picked for are included on the print.
You can print pick lists for Firm work orders at Pending and In progress status.
