Field Description
Active

Active by default when you create a new journal.

If inactive, you cannot link this journal to an entry type.
ID

The ID for the journal.

It needs to be the same ID in your financial solution.
Legislation The legislation you select determines whether the next 2 fields are available or not or required.
Name

The full name.

It needs to be the same name in your financial solution.
Primary document type

The document type for the main journal entry.

It needs to match the document type in your financial solution.

This field is not available for all legislations.
Secondary document type

The document type for the secondary journal post.

It needs to match the document type in your financial solution.

This field is not available for all legislations.

Field Description
Sequence number

Assign a unique sequence number to the journal.

The sequence number links the journal to a journal entry type.
