Posting class block

Field Description
Detailed

This switch is On by default.

You cannot change the switch if at least 1 posting class is linked to this definition.

If you change the Detailed switch to Off, you receive an error message if you have a posting class assigned to the type, such as item, customer, and so on.
ID  
Item type

This field displays if the Posting class type is Item. You can select as many types as needed:

  • Stock item

  • Non-stock item

  • Service item

  • Landed cost item

Name The unique name for this posting class.
Type

The posting class type.

Lines grid

Use this grid to define the account allocation for a posting class. For each field in a column, start entering characters to launch the search option.

Column Description
Account The list of accounts you can select from.
Account ID The account ID for the account on the line.
Account type name 2 The account definitions you can select from.
Additional criteria This column displays the additional criterion, if selected, for the linked posting class definition.
Chart of accounts 1

Select the chart of accounts.

Additional columns for Items

When the posting class type is for an item, these additional columns display in the Lines grid.

Column Description
Non-stock items This column is selected if the posting class applies to this item type.
Service items This column is selected if the posting class applies to this item type.
Stock items This column is selected if the posting class applies to this item type.
