Document search

Before posting a transaction, you can check to see if a journal entry already exists. This avoids duplicate posts.

You can only access this page from a line action on the Transaction workbench.

You can search on a variety of filters like those used for matching rules. If documents are found, they display in the Financial documents grid with the following details:

  • Accounting integration with a link to the document in Sage Intacct.

  • Document type

  • Description

  • Journal code

  • Location

  • Date

  • Amount

  • Account code

  • Entity IDif this is part of a MEGA structure.

Search for existing journal entries

When you search for existing documents, you do not need to add any criteria. However, adding filters limits search results and can improve performance.

  1. Select Search for a line.

  2. Search criteria fields displays values for the current transaction on the line. You can change any or all of these values.

  3. Leave all fields blank to return all values for all linked bank accounts.

  4. In the Financial documents grid, select an entry if it matches the transaction you want to post.

  5. Saving returns you to the Transaction workbench and the line status shows that a match was found.
