On this page, you can search bank transactions that were imported into Sage Intacct. Based on your search criteria, records are retrieved and displayed in the grid.
If you set up matching rules, records are matched to those criteria. You can also create AR payments and advances.
Search for bank transaction feeds
-
Select Create.
-
Enter or select a bank feed.
When selecting, the list of available bank accounts only includes those that are mapped to Sage Intacct. If you do not see a bank account listed, you cannot work with a transaction feed from that account.
See your administrator if you need a bank account added. -
Enter criteria to limit search results to a date range, transaction type, and status.
-
Though not required, entering a date range that corresponds to the bank statement is recommended. When you enter a date range, you can save the current bank transaction feed inquiry and return later to finish matching.
-
Status is Unmatched by default. This is the status in Sage Intacct.
-
Only new lines is Off by default.
Process bank feed results
The grid displays bank transaction records based on the search criteria you entered for date, transaction type, and so on. For each record, you can add dimensions, split an amount, or modify the account, tax detail, and so on.
When the matching details for a line are correct, you can save the line to generate a journal entry to be synchronized with Sage Intacct.
You can see totals at-a-glance above the results grid for the retrieved bank feed such as deposits and withdrawals.
The matching status displays according to your matching rules. Expand each record to view the line status and matching results, such as account and tax detail, and a link to the Sage Intacct record if there is one.
Match transactions
If the transaction record has a match and you don't need to make any changes, you can select Save from the More actions menu. The transaction is ready to post and you can post from the line or as part of a bulk action after saving multiple lines.
Expand a transaction to view the line details. Whether a match is found or not, you can modify line values such as the account, tax detail, and amount. The tax amount is automatically calculated based on the Tax column value.
You can view and update the current matching rules by selecting the link above the Results grid. Remember to search again to update the results.
Select the More actions menu to perform any of the following:
-
Delete line: You can remove the transaction from the matching process in Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations
-
Split line: You can allocate the amount to one or more accounts.
-
Dimensions: You can add dimensions to the account.
-
Search: You can search records to find any existing journal entries. This avoids duplicate journal entries.
If a journal entry is found, you can select the link to view it in Sage Intacct. You do not need to post this entry again from Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations
-
Create rule: You can create a new matching rule based on the values matched for this transaction.
Save your work
If you do not review the complete list of results for the current transaction feed inquiry, you can save your work.
Saved searches display in the selection list by bank name and date.
Post journal entries
When you validate and save transactions, they are ready to post.
You can post each line individually, or select All to post in a single action.
- Unmatched
This transaction did not meet any matching criteria. Expand the line to begin matching. When you save the record, that status changes to Ready for posting. - Draft match
The transaction matched an account and/or a tax detail based on current rules. You can change the values. When you save the record, that status changes to Ready for posting. - Matched
This record matched based on your matching rules. You can modify or save to get ready to post. - Journal entries found
After a document search, this status means the transaction was matched and posted. You do not need to save or post this transaction again. - Ready for posting
You validated and saved the matching results. The next step is to post this record. - Journal entry posting in progress
You posted the journal entry and it is being sent to Sage Intacct. - Journal entry posted
The entry for this record was sent to Sage Intacct where it posted to the journal. - Journal entry posting error
The journal entry generated in Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations could not be sent to Sage Intacct.
- Unmatched
This record did not match an account or a tax detail. You can enter values and save. You can also select Create rule to create a matching rule based on the values you entered. If you do not create a new rule, the status remains unmatched after saving and posting because there was no match to a defined rule. - Draft match
The record matched an account and/or a tax detail. You can change the values if needed. If you do not make changes, the status changes to matched when you save the transaction record. - Match found
This means a journal entry was found after a document search. - Multiple matches
This means a journal entry with split transactions was found after a document search.
