Mass shipment creation

After creating a sales order, you need to create a shipment for it. You can generate a sales shipment for each sales order individually, or use this page to issue multiple shipments at once.

Sales orders and their lines are grouped by values. You can group multiple sales orders in one shipment if they have the same values. When one of these values is different, a separate shipment is created.

The shipping date entered in your sales order is replaced by the date in which the mass shipment is created.

Tip

To view the sales orders you want to create shipments for, select the stock site first, so that the filter displays the company associated to this stock site.

If you select the company first, you get the complete list of active companies in your records.

Create multiple shipments

You can issue multiple shipments at once from the same company and stock site.

  1. Select the criteria for the shipments you want to create: the company and one of the stock sites associated to it. You can also select Maximum shipping date for more detailed records, and From sold-to customer and To sold-to customer for a range of customers.
  2. Select Show advanced selection to see a list of sales orders that meet the criteria you entered.
    • If there is enough stock to ship your order, the status of Stock availability is Available.
    • If stock is insufficient, the Stock availability in the sales order line shows as Shortage.
    • If there is no stock at all, Not available is displayed.

    Select the stock availability status for more information about quantities and delivery.

    A Select all option is available to select or clear all lines in the grid. All lines are selected by default if there is enough stock to create a shipment.

    To view more info about quantities and delivery for a specific sales order line, select a line. The Sales order line detail panel opens.

    To hide the grid, select Hide advanced selection.

    Customer satisfaction is the percentage of what will be delivered against what was expected in the sales order. Shipment amount including tax is the total cost with tax of all shipments selected in the grid.

  3. You can select Create directly instead of Show advanced selection to create multiple shipments. If you do, you cannot see the sales order details you create shipments for.
  4. A confirmation message is displayed with the number of sales shipments that were created.

You cannot edit or delete a sales order on this page. To edit or delete a sales order which status is Quote or Confirmed, refer to Edit a sales order or Delete a sales order.
