Stock change

Use this page to change the main characteristics of the initial stock for an item-site: the quantity, the location, or the stock status.

Create a stock change

To create a stock change, you need to search and display the main characteristics of the initial stock, then add stock changes. You can also post a stock change.

Search and display the main characteristics of the initial stock

1. Select the Site and the Date.

   Leave the stock change number blank to generate the next sequential stock change number or enter your own reference.

   You can enter a Description for the stock change record.

2. Select the Search button.

   To narrow down your search, you can select one or several criteria (item, location, status) before selecting the Search button.

3. Select a line from the Stock window.

   The initial stock information is automatically displayed.

You can now add stock changes.

Add stock changes

1. Select Add line from the Changes grid.

   You can add different lines to split the changes to different locations and statuses.

   1. When the item is not serial numbered, enter the Quantity and select the new stock detail values. You can change the Location. You can also change the Status.

   2. When the item is serial numbered, you need to select the serial numbers impacted by the stock change.

      1. In the From serial number field, select the first serial number.

      2. The quantity defaults to 1. You can change it to select a range of serial numbers. In this case, the quantity you enter needs to match the quantity of serial numbers available in the range. The last serial number from the serial number range displays in the To serial number field.

         You can add different lines to select different ranges of serial numbers or select the serial numbers one by one.

      3. Select the new stock detail values. You can change the Location. You can also change the Status.

2. Select Save.

Assign dimensions

You can assign dimensions to a line when the stock change status is Draft.

1. Select the More actions icon from the line, then select Dimensions.
2. You can select a dimension for each dimension type.

Post a stock change

Select Post to generate the stock movements.

When you post a stock change, the Stock status changes automatically from Draft to In progress, then Completed.

Edit or delete a stock change

To edit or delete a stock change record:

1. Select the stock change record from the Selection list.
2. Make changes as needed.
3. Select Save or Delete.

To delete a line in the Changes grid, select Delete from the line.
