Stock valuation
On this page, you can value some or all of your stock items for a single company, for one or more sites, or for all companies and all sites, and export the results to an Excel or CSV file. The exported file can be uploaded to your accounting solution.
The total stock value displays above the results grid for comparison to the stock account balance in the financial application.
Run a stock valuation report
To run a stock valuation report, enter your selection criteria then select Run.
You can value your stock for the current date or any date prior to the current date. The calculations are based on the valuation method defined on the Item-site record. All costs are in the financial site currency.
You can further refine the results by removing the display zero values selection to exclude any item-site record that does not have a quantity on-hand or value.
The Total stock value of all lines in the search or filtered results displays if the lines in the results grid have the same currency.
If you have run a stock valuation previously, edit the selection criteria, then select Run.
Reconcile the figures
See Stock valuation reconciliation for the steps to take to perform an accurate valuation of your stock.
Export
When you export the stock valuation results grid, only those lines displayed in the search or filtered results are included in the export. This includes all lines across multiple pages if you have a large data set.
There are 2 export options: Excel or CSV. The default file name is itemSites.
After exporting the data, you can rename the file and edit the Excel spreadsheet or CSV file if needed before uploading to your accounting solution.
