Field descriptions: Location

Field Description
Active

The switch to make the location available or unavailable for use in other pages. Switching a location off lets you take locations out of service for maintenance or refurbishment, for example.
Dangerous goods allowed Indicates whether goods that you consider as dangerous can be stored in the location. The definition of dangerous is up to your organization, the system does not control or restrict what is stored in the location.
ID The unique identifier of the location.
Name The location name.
Site

The site where the location is situated.

If you select a storage zone in the Zone field, the site associated with it automatically populates. If you select a site first, you can only select a storage zone linked to that site.
Type

The location type for this location.

Location types are managed on the Location type page.
Zone

The storage zone where the location is situated.

If you do not select a site, the site linked to the storage zone populates. If you select a site, you can only select storage zones associated with that site.

Storage zones are managed on the Storage zone page.

Storage information block

Field Description
Available capacity The number of items that can still be stored in the location, as a percentage of the total capacity of the location. The value is calculated, you cannot edit it.
Available volume The volume that can still be stored in the location, as a percentage of the total volume capacity of the location. The value is calculated, you cannot edit it.
Available weight The weight that can still be stored in the location, as a percentage of the total weight capacity of the location. The value is calculated, you cannot edit it.
Capacity The maximum number of items that can be stored in the location. This value defaults from the selected location type. You can edit it if necessary.
Used capacity The number of items currently stored in the location. This figure is adjusted whenever items are added to, or removed from, the location. You cannot edit it.
Used volume The total volume of all items currently stored in the location. This figure is adjusted whenever items are added to, or removed from, the location. You cannot edit it.
Used weight The total weight of all items currently stored in the location. This figure is adjusted whenever items are added to, or removed from, the location. It cannot be edited manually.
Volume The maximum volume that the location can contain. This value defaults from the selected location type. You can edit it if necessary.
Weight The maximum weight that the location can contain. This value defaults from the selected location type. You can edit it if necessary.
