Storage zone
To manage your warehousing and workshop spaces, you need to define storage zones. Storage zones are divided into locations, and locations are managed by location types.
Create your storage zones and location types. Then you can set up your locations on the Location page and link each location to a storage zone.

Create a storage zone
- Enter a name and an ID for the storage zone.
- Select the site.
- You can select a type for the storage zone, such as Frozen or Chemical. This is for reference only.
- Save.
The Locations grid displays the locations the storage zone is assigned to and their capacity. Columns are display only. You cannot add a location to the storage zone by adding a row to the grid. You need to select a storage zone for a location on the Location page.
When there are locations in the Locations grid, the capacities and used capacities of all the locations are accumulated. The results populate in the Total storage capacity and Used capacity fields. You can also refer to the percentage bar to visualize the capacity of the storage zone that is still available.
Edit a storage zone
You cannot edit the Site field when the storage zone is associated with a location.
