Inquire on a stock item
To inquire on a stock item, you need to enter or select the stock Item or component to inquire upon. You can filter for the item at a specific site or warehouse, by one or several inspection and quality assurance ratings, the lot or batch the item is stored in, and for a specific serial number. You can also leave all search criteria blank to search for all available information for the stock item across all your storage sites.
If you have a significant number of inspection statuses or lots of the item in stock, apply filters to refine your search results.
Detailed stock grid
The Detailed stock grid displays stock levels for the item based on your search criteria. The information in the grid is display-only and cannot be modified. You can take advantage of standard grid options like sorting by displaying table filters and selecting which columns you want to display.
If you include a Site in your search criteria, the site is omitted from the grid.
Lot information is only available if the Item is managed by lot on the Item record; serial number information is only available if the Item is managed with serial numbers.
You can view more details for the item from the More actions icon for an inspection status or lot.
- Select Lot information to view additional lot information.
- Select Serial number information to view the individual serial numbers in the lot or batch and which serial numbers are reserved for production or sales orders.
- Select Allocations to view the individual order numbers that have stock allocated or reserved from the lot or batch for them and the quantity of the item that is allocated or reserved for the order.
Export
When you export the Detailed stock grid, only those lines displayed in the search or filtered results are included in the export. This includes all lines across multiple pages if you have a large data set.
There are 2 export options: Excel or CSV. The default file name is Detailed stock.
After exporting the data, you can rename the file and edit the Excel spreadsheet or CSV file if needed before uploading to your accounting solution.
