Sage FRP 1000 integration guide

This guide is for those who have selected Sage FRP 1000 as the financial solution to complement their Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations subscription. It provides an overview of the steps you need to follow and the data you need to enter in Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations.

When the setup is complete, you can generate and send journal entries directly to Sage FRP 1000. With this release, only journal entries for purchasing and sales for invoices and credit memos are generated and sent.

Prerequisites

In addition to your Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations license, be sure that your Sage FRP 1000 license is also current.

You need permission to access all relevant data in your financial solution so that you can reproduce it here. If you do not have the necessary permissions, contact your administrator or business partner.

At this time, there is only a one-way data push from Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations to Sage FRP 1000 for purchasing and sales journal entries. This applies to invoices and credit memos.

To avoid problems, enter the required data in Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations exactly as it is entered in Sage FRP 1000. If you make a modification to any of the data referenced throughout this guide in one solution, you need to make the same modifications in the other solution.

Generate the token

The token enables the transmission of journals directly from Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations to Sage FRP 1000.

You generate the token in Sage FRP 1000 and then enter that code and other details in the Sage FRP 1000 configuration function.

Enter information from Sage FRP 1000

At this time there is no data synchronization between Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations and Sage FRP 1000. To complete the integration process, you need enter the information below to match what exists in Sage FRP 1000. Some financial data, listed below, is provide by Sage to facilitate the transfer of journal entry data from Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations to Sage FRP 1000.

Make sure the information matches your financial solution. If a modification is made in one solution, remember to make the same modification in the other solution.

Company

Enter your company information in the Company function. In addition to basic information like addresses and contact information, you also need to enter tax calculation details. This applies to the company in the distribution flows.

AR and AP posting are active by default when you enter company data. You also need to select the appropriate posting class.

Site information

After you enter your company information, you need to enter all the information for your site or sites in the Site function. At least one site must be a financial site, which is required for journal entries. For other sites, you need to indicate if it is a site used for purchasing, stock, sales, or manufacturing management.

Make sure the information matches your financial solution. If a modification is made in one solution, remember to make the same modification in the other solution.

Customers and suppliers

The customers and suppliers you do business with need to be added to Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations. The information you use to create customers and suppliers need to match the details in Sage FRP 1000.

Financial information

So that Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations can communicate journal entries with Sage FRP 1000, you need to manually enter some journal and account information here exactly as it displays in Sage FRP 1000. If not, you could experience errors.

Journals

When entering journals, be sure to enter the same journal codes and name that are in Sage FRP 1000 so that journal entries can post accordingly. For each journal you need to identify the primary and secondary document types. The secondary document is for managing reverse VAT tax.

At this time, you cannot generate and send journal entries in a batch task.
